Weddings & Parties

Weddings and Parties at the ICCA Atrium

The Atrium was constructed during the 1920s for Thomas Forman and was designed by the renowned architect Thomas Cecil Howitt. Now owned and operated by the Indian Community Centre Association, our landmark building contains many beautiful original Art Deco features and neoclassical décor, including the illuminated atrium balcony and gallery (from which the name of ‘The Atrium’ is derived) and the wonderful foyer panelled in oak . By day, the attractive sweeping staircase is bathed in natural sun by the stunning skylight. The reception hall is topped off with its huge domed ceiling. If you want an entrance with the ‘wow’ factor, look no further.

Our ground floor features one of the biggest function halls in the city, with capacity for up to 500 guests seated at tables and professional kitchens with the capacity to serve them.

Whether it’s a wedding reception, civil ceremony or a birthday party, wake, or you just want to bring your community and family together in a venue that will look after you personally, we can provide packages for any number of guests from 60 to 500; it just depends on your needs.

We have professional audio-visual equipment, decorative lighting, a dance floor and portable staging plus high quality banquet furniture, cutlery and crockery. Our bar is well stocked and reasonably priced and we also offer corkage.

Our banqueting suites include: Dosti: Saffron, and Platinum. All the suites:

  • are fully Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) compliant
  • have low level reception counter and bar
  • have two large toilets and four disabled toilets
  • have two street level entrances

In addition:

  • Smaller meeting and breakout rooms are available on request.
  • Upgrades can be incorporated to meet your budget.
